The centre of Kouvola

Many people see the centre of Kouvola from the window of a train. From there you can’t quite see our City Hall, which has been voted the most beautiful city hall in the country. The Pohjola House is very different. It is so large and ugly that many have started to consider it quite handsome. In the centre you can find the pedestrian street with cafés and shops. In the cafés you can taste Kouvola’s own coffee and the famous Kouvola licorice. The market place is full of vendors with local produce.
