In 1972 Verla's groundwood and board mill became Finland's first mill museum. The museum is a part of the World Heritage site.

It is a 32 km ride from the centre of Kouvola to Verla. You can reach Verla also by taxi from the Kouvola railway station and in summer time by bus.

May 2 to June 27 Tue-Sun from 11-16
(Closed on Midsummer Eve, June 25)

Between June 28 and August 15 every day from 10-18

Between August 17 and September 30 Tue - Sun from 11 - 16
