UNESCO World Heritage Site Verla The Verla Groundwood and Board Mill is a living monument to the early days of the Finnish forest industry set in an idyllic village. This area became a world heritage site in 1996. The area has been preserved remarkably well and it is a prime example of a community that the forest industry created in the late 1800-century.

Wind down at the Repovesi National ParkThe landscapes of Repovesi National Park feature deep green forests, rugged cliffs and dozens of clear blue lakes and it is one of the most popular national parks in Finland.
