Kymi Villa

At Kymi Villa in Kuusankoski, enjoy the calm, dignified, yet homely atmosphere. Weddings, birthdays or a family celebration coming up? Looking for somewhere to host a business event, meeting or traditional sauna evening? You can also stay over. Come for lunch, check it out, be inspired and book!

The villa was once very popular with business clients from nearby Kymi pulp mill in Kuusankoski, Kouvola. For a long time the villa was only used by the company’s senior management, and later the doors were opened to other guests. The house which once hosted the executive board is now open to everyone.

Built in 1873, northern Kymenlaakso’s oldest dwelling still in use radiates dignity, grandeur, splendour and sophistication. The villa was designed by Finnish architect Theodor Decker, who studied at the Stockholm Academy of Fine Arts from 1858-1863. When you know the story of the place, weekday lunches and dishes prepared from high-quality ingredients taste even better.

At the end of the day, you can stay the night in one of our ten hotel-quality rooms. We have seven hotel rooms in the 1970 annexe and three large suites on the upper floor of the villa. Our garden creates the space for various activities and outdoor celebrations.
