The Kymi River is the whole province’s pulsing main artery and part of the history of the region. It has functioned as a border between Finland, Sweden and Russia. KymiSun takes you on a popular guided tour by wooden, tar-scented riverboat.

Repovesi National Park in the wilderness of North Valkeala provides a great setting for many kinds of outdoor activities and hiking. These are all at your fingertips with a KymiSun boat trips to the heart of Repovesi National Park. Abundant nature and clear waters, sheer rock faces – you just have to see and experience it.

The UNESCO World Heritage Site at Verla, with its factory museum, groundwood and board mill are unique local attractions where you can get a sense of living history of the early stages of the forest industry. KymiSun takes its guest in a well-equipped, wooden motor boat to explore the 6000-year-old rock paintings and a log floating history of the Kymi River and the clear waters of the surrounding lakes.

We visit the charming 1860s iron works, which still echoes to the roar of the Verlankoski rapids. In summer, small shops, a wine shop, coffee shop and craft workshops where local artisans demonstrate and sell their products are all open.

KymiSun

Nature, culture and history invite you to the large river. You will get to know Kouvola from the river with our guided boat rides. Right near the city centre.

The boat rides use quality boats that have a scent of tar on them and the locations are culturally interesting. The trips last around 3 – 4 hours or per agreement. The trips are also perfectly suited for company retreats.

The cost of the trip starts from 39€ per person, including coffee. With food the prices start at 49€. The prices include VAT. The trip includes guiding, the boat equipment, insurance, coffee and/or food. Guests will enjoy coffee and food in the atmospheric KymiSun river cottages.

Experience Repovesi National Park

KymiSun

Repovesi consists of interesting and varied scenery. This trip is perfect for experiencing the calming influence of nature and you can feel your mind and body refreshing. During the trip, we will move in the nature and on the water.

The trip starts with a meeting in the Lapinsalmi entrance. The guide will lead the group to the heart of Repovesi National Park and tells interesting stories about nature and the park.

We will hike in the park and ride a boat. The trips lasts for about 5 – 6 hours or per agreement. The trip includes coffee and food and it is perfectly suitable for company retreats. For companies KymiSun can also provide more readymade programs.

Experience Verla

KymiSun

An interesting trip to historical landscapes. During the trip, you will get to know UNESCO World Heritage Site Verla and surrounding village. You will also take a boat ride to the waters near Verla and surrounding lake area.

In the beginning of the trip we will take a guided tour around the museum in Verla. The tour lasts for about an hour. After that we will move on to the shore of Verlankoski, where we will take a wooden boat to the clear waters of Verla. The trip includes history, including cave paintings that are around 6000 years old. We will also enjoy some coffee and/or food during the trip.

You can also taste some organic wine in Verla and shop in the small boutiques. The trip is perfectly suited for company retreats. The trip lasts for about 5 hours or per agreement. The price depends on the content of the trip.
