Kymi Sinfonietta is one of Finland’s top orchestras. Concerts played to high standards with burning passion are full of the joy and energy of live music! The conductors and soloists perform to the highest international standards. The orchestra has two homes, Kouvola and Kotka. Concerts are held at Kotka Concert Hall on Wednesdays and Kouvola City Hall or Kuusankoskitalo on Thursdays.

From the very first, the orchestra has played concerts outside the printed concert calendar all over the Kymenlaakso region. Concerts for schoolchildren, tours of schools and service centres for older people in the region, and participation in other cultural events are an essential part of the orchestra’s activities.  

Kymi Sinfonietta’s active and diverse international activities has included, for example, cooperation with the prestigious St Petersburg Philharmonic, and participation in one of the world's best-known music competitions, the International Uuno Klami Composition Competition. It has received international attention for successful performances in, for example, St Petersburg, the Netherlands, China, London and Riga. The orchestra has released three records on the Alba label to critical acclaim.
