Puhjonranta Learning Centre

Puhjonranta is a training centre owned by Kouvola’s Lutheran parishes, located on the shores of the crystal clear lake Rapojärvi in Valkeala, 15 km north of Kouvola. Our learning centre offers a cosy environment for larger or smaller events and occasions.

We also cater for larger groups. Our dining hall has space for 140 people. Food is served from two buffets, and the hall can be divided into three smaller rooms. We offer delicious home cooking and event catering. The menu can be altered to suit the event and the wishes of the customer. We can cater for special dietary requirements, as long as we are notified of these ahead of time, and all our food is lactose free. The main building Tammi contains an auditorium for 120 people and a meeting room for 12. Pihlaja includes a classroom for 30 people and a meeting room for 12. School building Jalava has 2 classrooms for 30 people each. You can also book a meeting package which includes coffee at the start and finish of the meeting, lunch and the conference room with equipment for €26/person. Buildings Pihlaja and Jalava as well as the auditorium all contain a video projector and wifi.

Puhjonranta Learning Centre is located 15 kilometres from Kouvola in Valkeala, on the shores of lake Rapojärvi. We have a total of 145 beds.

Accommodation: We offer two different levels of accommodation. Koivu and Haava have 52 beds. Both buildings have 4 x 4 bed rooms, 4 x twin rooms and 2 x single rooms. Every room has ensuite toilet and shower facilities. The buildings also contain a lobby which is being used as a common room and contains a fire place and a TV. Buildings Näre, Kuusi, Honka and Mänty have bunk beds and shared facilities. Each building has shared toilet and shower facilities and a small lobby. Own or hired bed linen can be used. We also offer catering services, saunas and meetings services.

In the lakeside saunas visitors can enjoy the heat and jump into lake Rapojärvi from the jetty.
