Elimäki church village

Elimäki Church is the oldest wooden cruciform church in Finland that is still in use. The construction of highway six has significantly improved connections from other local municipal centres.   • Koria, a residential area on the Vilppula map, is home to 5000 inhabitants. Koria lies on the banks of the Kymijoki River at the northern border of Elimäki, 6 km from the business centre of Kouvola. Koria has shops, a hairdressing salon, a restaurant, a health centre, a pharmacy, a library and a bank.
  • The City of Kouvola and the Finnish Housing Fair Co-operative Organisation are organising the housing fair in the Pioneer Park in Koria in the summer of 2019. The exhibition grounds will include 30 different types of family houses and plots for a few blocks of flats or terraced houses. Other properties in the area are just waiting to be renovated and put to new use.
