GO Käyrälampi winter event

Join us for the most thrilling family event of the winter in the stunning scenery of Käyrälampi! GO Käyrälampi invites you to enjoy the winter atmosphere, diverse activities, and local delicacies on Saturday, February 15th, from 12:00 to 16:00.

EVENT HIGHLIGHTS:

* Snow Sculpting Show: The award-winning SM-level Icemen-Team will create an amazing snow sculpture and a small fun slide for kids, which will remain available after the event. Please note: No sled or toboggan needed—snow pants are enough!
* Learn Cross-Country Skiing Techniques: Join top instructor Minna Nieminen to master classic and skate skiing techniques in a relaxed environment. (Note: Weather permitting, with a temperature limit of -20°C.)
* Pop-up Photography Spot by Studio Ullakko
* Husky Rides: Experience the thrill of speed with a husky sled ride by Team-Kielonkukka. (Weather permitting.)
* Kids’ Ski Event: Kouvolan Latu ry organizes active winter fun for the little ones.
* Keke the Fox: MLL Kouvola Local Association brings cheerful Keke the Fox to the event.
* At the Ankkapurha spot, you’ll find a balance course and a relaxing hammock area for lounging.
* KooKoo Ice Performers and Kouvola Figure Skating Club: Enjoy stunning solo and synchronized skating performances, as well as guided skating activities.
* DJ and Music: Dance in your snow gear to music played by a DJ throughout the event!
* Local Delicacies: Savor local treats including hamburgers, artisan pizzas, cheeses, mulled wine, artisan marshmallows and hot drinks. Vendors include Rokkileipuri, Mustila Viini, Paavolan Juustola, Eräkokki, Virtakiven Sauna and Kouvolan Herkku
* Myllykosken Koskikara Scouts: will be at Käyrälampi, welcoming visitors to warm up by the campfire at the shelter by the lake. Here, you can experience scouting activities, enjoy the cozy atmosphere, and taste delicious campfire treats. On sale: warm apple juice, traditional campfire coffee, Korian Palvi sausages, and S’mores – marshmallow treats roasted on a stick over the open fire.
* Bring Your Own Skis and Skates: While sleds and toboggans aren’t necessary, skates and skis are recommended for full participation. A limited number of touring skates are available for rental.

Free Nonstop Bus Shuttle

Take advantage of the free shuttle service running between Matkakeskus and Käyrälampi throughout the event. We highly recommend using the shuttle due to parking challenges.

KÄYRÄLAMPI BUSINESSES ARE ACTIVELY INVOLVED:

* Tykkimäki Sauna: Find their stand at the event area or walk along the atmospheric torch-lit path to the sauna.On event day, enjoy warm drinks and sausages to grill over a fire. Activities include ice swimming and skating (weather permitting).
* Tykkimäki Resort: Visit their booth and sample a signature product created especially for the event. Participate in their raffle for a chance to win amazing prizes! Also, pick up brochures and discount coupons for Lammenranta.
* Eemeli’s Sauna: At the GO Käyrälampi event, you can enjoy the winter scenery of Käyrälampi by skating on the maintained ice skating track. Eemelin Sauna is responsible for maintaining and preparing the ice skating areas. There are two starting points for the skating track.Starting Points and Ticket Sales: Eemelin Sauna (Tykkimäki Beach Containers) Here, you can rent ice skates and head straight onto the ice. Payment: MobilePay (payment signs are available at the containers and on the ice). Tykkimäki Sauna (mainly for sauna guests) Here, you can purchase a ticket for the ice skating track, but skate rentals are not available. Payment methods: MobilePay, card, cash, and sports benefits. * Saimaa Palju Events: Rent sliding snowshoes or traditional snowshoes for a test run (€5/max 1 hour).
* Paaskoski Lodge: Try snowshoeing, enjoy checkpoint adventures, and take advantage of special offers on experience services—and don’t forget the donuts!

EVENING PROGRAM (16:00–23:00)

* Tykkimäki Sauna After Sauna: Extend the Käyrälampi winter vibes with After Sauna from 16:00 to 23:00. All sauna rooms will be open for relaxation well into the evening.
* Tykkimäki Resort – Mono Disco and DJ: End the day with Mono Disco and a DJ set from 19:00 to 22:00, featuring a nostalgic 90s après-ski dress code. Dance and enjoy music under Käyrälampi’s evening lights!
